Meeting July 21st... June was a quieter (in member numbers) month as members took holidays and made the most of the weather. Joan and Jacky introduced The challenge - for the tenth year of Loddon Quilters. How many things/events/memories can you think of associated with the number ten and our ten years of Loddon Quilters? Lots of ideas emerged and you will surely have thought of more since then. The challenge is to represent your idea on a 10” quilt block. There were some samples to give you ideas and we hope to have an amazing display of blocks for our next show. Many thanks to Chris, who finished her machine quilting demonstrations, last month. Have you had a go at machine quilting? How are you getting on? We would love to see any samples you have done – work in progress is just as inspiring as finished work. Have you any tips for others who may be ‘having a go’ at machine quilting. We love to share! There were some attic window blocks last month, if you have made one bring it along this month. Don’t forget that if you have any special requests for our meetings, or you have something you would be prepared to share, see a member of the committee or put a note in the Suggestions box. We are beginning to think about our programme for next year, this is your group, let us know what you would like to do. Dates for your diary Fabric Fayre organised by quilt shops for quilters!
